Immerse Japanese is a Chrome extension built around one idea: the most effective way to learn a language is to be surrounded by it. Rather than isolating study into a separate app or session, it brings Japanese directly into your existing browsing — replacing words on the pages you already read.
Hover over any swapped word to see its full entry: kanji form, kana reading, and romaji. On YouTube, subtitles are replaced the same way. The extension draws from a JMDict-based vocabulary set, filtered by JLPT level so you're always seeing vocabulary appropriate to where you are in your learning.
